Building Update 132
“All Hands on Deck”
July 31, 2024
PROJECT UPDATE: I went by the land yesterday to see how the sitework was progressing, and what I saw was a “big push” to get the retention pond finished and drainage in. With three bulldozers, two excavators on-site and a week of good weather, the sitework progress is gaining speed heading toward a vertical construction start in September! All I can say is – Yes!!!
This is what we have all been waiting for and been praying for and it’s here! But, we need your help to stay ahead of the funding power curve! With all the sitework & building permits in-hand, we need to be able to match the funding from the construction loan in a ratio of 64%to 36% to stay on schedule.
Financial Report: There will be times during the remaining 14 months of the construction period where we will need “All Hands on Deck” to accomplish a specific task or goal with regards to the Building Project. This is one of those times.
We have fought, scraped and saved enough to pay all of the Building Project Expenses to date. This amounts to $1,411,532.83 including the purchased of the land. In addition, we have established a Reserve Fund to pay the first $500K in invoices from Trident Construction (GC).
AR has all the funds accounted for to pay Trident Construction the remaining balance of its $6.7MIL contract but approx. 16%. In dollars, this amounts to approx. $1.3MIL.
This remaining $1.3MIL balance in funding for the project will need to come mostly from Milestone Giving in which One Time Gifts (OTGs) are made as each of the seven Construction Milestone are reached. Pastor Jenn & James talked about the new Milestone Giving Card last Sunday at the beginning of worship.
With initial sitework concluding by the end of August and Vertical Construction just around the corner in September, we could really use your help and participation with regards to Milestone Giving. The cards are available on Sunday mornings and online.
Please prayerfully consider what you can give as we reach each of the seven construction milestones. And share with us by sending an email to giving@ashleyridgechurch.org with the amount & date of each gift.
To say we have come a long way would be an understatement! Is has been amazing to see this process unfold as the Project Leader the past 5 year. The challenges have been formidable, but we have persevered!
If you would like to make a contribution to Milestone #2 – Sitework & Utilities via the Building Fund, you can do so on Sunday during worship or on-line via the church website: ashleyridgechurch.org
