During this two-year period, every contribution to God through Ashley Ridge Church is a contribution to our NOW HERE initiative. While it is possible to make a gift directly to the building fund, every gift given to Ashley Ridge Church will go to the key components of this initiative – to establish a home base for ministry, and to grow our ministry as a community of Jesus followers centered in worship and gathered around tables.

First and foremost we are asking you to pray and seek God’s direction for you and for your generosity. Prepare your heart to hear Him, and then listen to what He says. Engage in a Small Group during this season. Engage in personal reflection with God. Talk with your group, your spouse, your family, friends, or others about what this commitment will mean for this next exciting season of your life. We are asking that you make a commitment to gospel-driven, surrendered generosity – whatever it is that God leads you to do. Follow His leading. Finally, prepare to be amazed. It is an awesome God that we serve, and we anticipate He will move in huge ways as we seek an unprecedented impact from our collective NOW HERE commitments – something only God can do. Please mark your calendar for Commitment Sunday, September 25th, and prepare to experience a life-changing worship service that will forever be remembered as a defining moment for our church and for your own faith.

Our Staff and Leadership Team engage in an intentional and prayerful process to determine our church budget each year. Staff begin the process by working with their ministry teams to discern how God is leading them to advance the mission of the church in the next season, and the resources required to do so..
The Leadership Team carefully reviews and approves a final budget for the coming year. Every dollar received and spent is accounted for through careful record keeping, tight internal controls, and the work of our outside, independent accounting firm. Yes! You might have some stocks, crypto, property, or other items of that nature, or you may have some stored resources that God has blessed you with in the past that He might be calling you to give from during this time. Please let us know if you need assistance with facilitating gifts of property or stock, and we would be happy to help you with that. You can contact our Financial Team Leader, Garrett Reuber, at giving@ashleyridgechurch.org to make a gift of this type.

For purposes of our construction loan from the bank, we are asking everyone to make a two-year commitment. You may modify your commitment at any time. Our hope is that your commitment will evolve and change as God leads you.

NOW HERE. is about your total, prioritized, gospel-driven generosity to God’s mission at Ashley Ridge Church. We believe God calls us to action in times of hardship just as much as He does in times of abundance, and that looks different for every person. NOW HERE is about seeking the Lord, responding to His call, and being part of something bigger than any of us.
Maybe you are being challenged to sell things, to pick up odd jobs, or even to trust God in faith by making a commitment you don’t quite know how to fulfill right now but that you believe God will provide for as you seek ways to sacrifice and work toward that commitment. Our goal is for everyone to be part of the NOW HERE initiative so that together, we can experience God stretching us and shaping us in this season at Ashley Ridge Church.

None of us know exactly what our future holds – that’s the beauty and challenge of taking steps of faith! Even if you’re not sure whether you’ll be a part of Ashley Ridge Church for the full span of the next two years, we invite you to still commit to generosity and be a part of this life-changing endeavor God has for our church.
If needed, you may modify your commitment at any time. But often, people will continue to attend online and support Ashley Ridge Church, even after they’ve left the area. If you happen to move out of the area, we would love for that to be your story!

If you are someone currently seeking to pay-off debt or actively paying off debt, we commend you for your progress and hope you will continue in your efforts. We would be happy to help you in this journey and/or to recommend a financial class that could help. Being in debt does not, however, “excuse” someone from giving. Giving isn’t about what God wants from you; rather, it’s about what God wants for you. It’s our joy and privilege to give at all times, regardless of the amount or percentage.

NOW HERE was crafted specifically with you in mind. NOW HERE  is a “one fund” generosity initiative, meaning it is different from a traditional capital campaign where you are called to give an extra gift above and beyond your normal giving – thus creating two steps for people who aren’t yet giving.

And, be on the lookout for our next “New Here Start Here” Meet and Greet after worship. It’s an easy stop-in we offer every few weeks for new people to meet some of our staff and leadership and ask questions.

Great question. People take different spiritual steps at different times. Some people begin praying before they begin attending church. Others begin going to a Small Group before they begin talking to God in prayer. Giving is another spiritual step, and it comes at different times for different people. Just like other spiritual disciplines, giving draws us closer to God. And God is calling ALL of us to give. Jesus says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19)
Whether you have taken the spiritual step of baptism or whether you haven’t yet, we would encourage you to still join us in the Now Here initiative. We firmly believe it will draw you closer to God and hopefully to a place where you are ready to make the decision to get baptized and to surrender your life to the Lordship of Christ.
