Building Update 135
“Going Vertical!”
September 20, 2024
Project News: Ok, Ashley Ridge Church “fam,” you can mark your calendar! As of today, September 20, 2024, AR is officially “Going Vertical!” That’s right; Citadel Construction, Inc. is on-site pouring concrete for the building’s foundation as I write this update!
If you haven’t seen James’ latest video from the land (on Wednesday), please go to the church’s social media pages and check it out! As the weather cools down, the progress on the new AR permanent home base is heating-up.
And, between now and the end of the month, subs will be roughing-in the plumbing, electrical, fiber conduit, etc. This is all necessary before the concrete slab is poured (scheduled for early October).
NOTE: “Going Vertical!” means building project expenses are about to increase substantially, and we want to be prepared to keep the construction ball rolling. If you could make a gift to celebrate AR “Going Vertical!” that would be a BIG help!
Financial Report. AR is having its best year ever thanks to you (see below):
Contributions Month-To-Date (MTD): $60,311*
Contributions Year-To-Date (YTD): $834,806*
*As of 9/16/2024 @ 9:55 am
AR is on schedule to reach the $1MIL mark in annual giving for the first time in 2024 and could be as early as late October or early November thanks to your generosity! Please consider giving to the Building Fund for Milestone #3 – Vertical Construction. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CONTINUED PROJECT SUPPORT!!!
Building Fact of the Day: The foundation alone will take approximately 150-160 yards of concrete to complete. The average cost of concrete in the Charleston Area is between $128 – $158 per yard depending on the PSI (Pounds per Square Inch) rating of the concrete.
