Groups

Circles are Better than Rows.

We believe circles are better than rows. When we move into circles, we get to build relationships on a deeper level, ask questions, explore faith, and show up for each other in significant ways.

We regularly begin new groups while existing groups often make room for new members. We have groups for men, women, couples, and co-ed and more. Most groups are centered around a discussion of the Sunday message or a specific study. Each group time usually includes a biblical discussion, prayer for each other, time to get to know each other and have a bit of fun while doing all that.

Participating in groups is one of the best ways to engage at Ashley Ridge and intentionally grow in your faith.

Finding community in a circle is simple.

Want to facilitate a group? It’s simple: just let us know!

Group leaders guide great discussion and prayer and are not teachers.
Group leaders care for people in their group to see them grow in faith and community.
Group leaders receive and participate in ongoing coaching.

Facilitate a Group

In addition to our regular small groups, we offer special short-term groups focusing on specific topics. Here are a few of our most offered:

Starting Point

Starting Point, a gathering where your questions about God turn into a conversation about faith!

Starting Point is a 10-week event for those who are new to faith, curious about God, or coming back to church after some time away.  It’s a place where your opinions and beliefs are valued, and no question is off-limits.

  • Each Starting Point group lasts 10 weeks.
  • Each session is 65 minutes in length.
  • There are 2 leaders and 8-10 participants in each group.

Parent Unscripted

Parenting is hard. You want to get it right. We can help.

Parent Unscripted is a 3-PART Short-Term Group. There’s no script for handling all the challenges that parents face, but there is a guide. This group will encourage and equip parents in one of their most important roles. We will meet in the library at Ashley Ridge High School or at the church office depending on group size and we’ll bring the pizza. All you have to do is sign up!

Session 1: Family Values with Andy and Sandra Stanley

Session 2: Time & Technology with Billy and Joy Phenix

Session 3: Spiritual Growth with Kristen Ivy

Circles are better than rows

We believe that circles are better than rows. The best way to grow your faith and deepen your relationships with others is by gathering together to learn and encourage one another as we walk together through life. Wondering if joining a group is your next step? Check this out.
